• john skyping sherlock in a sheet as if that’s not at all unusual
  
• neither of them are surprised to see the other at buckingham palace
• the “what are we doing here”/”no idea” conversation they have when john first steps into the room without using any words at all
• john leaning over to have a closer look at sherlock’s sheet
• not laughing until they look at each other
• looking at each other and not being able to not laugh
• john sassing at mycroft when mycroft sasses at sherlock
• sherlock teasing john to remember to put his tea cup back down
• sherlock stealing an ashtray to make john laugh
• both of them cracking up in the cab afterwards
• listen. they were so happy together back then. just being around each other made them giggle.
